Facelift

Everyone ages differently and everyone has different expectations from the outcome of their surgery. Outcome is contingent on your facial structure prior to surgery.

Today's facelift has evolved to more than skin tightening. A total rejuvenation of the face will consist of several components depending on your particular anatomy and will deal with muscle, fat and skin. Facial rejuvenation addresses the shape of the face, correction of wrinkles as well as tightening the skin.

During surgery carefully placed incisions are made along the hairline at the temple, following the creases around the ear and curve behind the ear into the posterior hairline.

Dr. Michelow will reposition the fibromuscular layer and redistribute the fat. If lifting the neck is necessary, a small incision will be made beneath your chin. This will aid in tightening the vertical bands to create an improved contour to the neck. Recovery lasts 3 to 5 weeks.

Botox®

As the face ages, sun damage reduces elasticity and leads to wrinkles on the forehead, frown lines between the eyes and crow's feet at the corners of the eyes. Dr. Michelow's surgical training, artistic sensibility and gentle touch can help you turn back the clock with Botox® injections.

Botox® (Botulinum Toxin A) is a chemical that blocks muscle movement and reduces frown lines and wrinkles. Dr. Michelow's intimate knowledge of anatomy allows him to elevate the eyebrows and create an overall youthful appearance with his injection techniques.

Facial Fillers

Dr. Michelow finds facial fillers to be an effective technique for reducing deep lines and restoring volume to the lower part of the face. The face loses volume as it ages. Jowls, deep folds at the sides of the mouth and wrinkles develop on the face and lips.

Dr. Michelow uses the fillers individually or in combination to give you optimal results: Restylane®, Perlane® Juvaderm®, Radiesse®, and Cosmoderm®, and Sculptra® are all available.

Brow Lift

Botox® injected into selected areas of the face, can be an effective way to elevate the lateral eyebrow. When more elevation is necessary, a droopy brow can elevated through a brow lift. Dr. Michelow performs both open and endoscopic brow lifts. You will be advised on the technique that suites you best.

Eyelid Surgery

The eyes are often the first areas to show features of facial ageing. A more youthful appearance can be achieved by correcting the drooping skin on upper eyelids and correcting bulging fat from the lower lids.

Lip Enhancement

You may opt to improve the appearance of your lips with either your own fat, an injectable filler such as Hyaluran Dr. Michelow will explore these options with you.

Chin / Neck Contouring

Regardless of one's age, an inherited localized collection of excess fat beneath the chin makes one look plumper, older and less athletic. Liposuction is often a simple and safe, and less expensive way to treat this cosmetic problem.

Liposuction of this area is often combined with a procedure to tightening of the muscles under the chin to improve the contours of the chin and neck.

Full Face Laser Resurfacing

Laser resurfacing is an effective treatment option for correcting the fine wrinkles that typically develop around the mouth and sides of the eyes. The laser is a bright light that removes the surface grime from the facial skin and rejuvenates the skin surface. Possible color changes in the skin will be discussed with you by Dr. Michelow.

Tattoo Removal

Ink from tattoo's can be removed with a non-invasive laser procedure. Dark colors (black, blue and dark green) respond better that lighter colors. Multiple sessions may be required to adequately fade the tattoo. Dr. Michelow frequently combines laser tattoo removal with surgical excision of portions of the tattoo, to optimize your outcome.
